Beyond Learning
My graduate thesis project was a concept for an AI-enhanced learning management system called "Beyond Learning," designed for elementary school students, with a focus on supporting those with neurodivergent conditions like dyslexia. The system employs AI to identify signs of neurodivergence that often go unnoticed, providing tailored accommodations and adjustments to the learning interface based on each student's needs and interactions. Without singling out individual students, "Beyond Learning" adapts to various learning styles and can be customized with specific accommodations upon diagnosis. By tracking learner behaviors in real-time, the system collects data to help create better learning environments for neurodivergent students. The objective is to empower those with neurodiversities, destigmatize conditions like dyslexia, and revolutionize learning for people with neurodivergences in a world predominantly designed for neurotypical individuals.
